This one is the latest Historic Reissue 2008 LP I´ve ever seen still with genuine South American mahogany - just look at the grain on the back.. 1207th in that year (mind that the numbering at Custom Shop includes all solidbody reissues in that year, but yeah, most "1958" Reissues were R8s...) Looks like even the fretboard still is Madagascar RW... Those spec were safe bet in 2007... but in 2008, most LP Reissues were Fiji hog and EIR rw.... Maybe a leftover from 2007 😍 .. twist of luck

I'm a Darco strings user ever since i was asked to 'Try them out' by our local Music store, waaay back when they 1st came on the market. I never used another brand ever since. Although they have a Twang to 'em which i personally really Like. They keep sounding 'Fresh' a lot longer compaired to "Well Known Brands". Only You should have started with first tuning your guitar after changing the strings and before playing Hahaha

Leider klingen fast alle Gitarrevideos von Gregor ziemlich gleich. Es wäre schön, die Eigenschaften des jeweiligen Instruments herauszuarbeiten. Bitte nicht als Kritik, sondern eher als eine Anregung sehen. Ich spiele selbst eine L-5 und diese Gitarre ist der Hammer, wenn auch mit rund 10k Euro etwas überbezahlt. Aber aufgrund eines derartigen Videos würde ich keine kaufen. Diesen Sound bekomme ich mit einer paar Hundert Euro billigen Kopie auch hin.

black L5 is COOL

that amp has a closed back. one small slot at bottom one small one on top. in hot weather the inside gets warm. If that bottom vent gets blocked, it can get hot...not good

Gregg, all your demos sound the same. My main Les Paul for over 30 years is a ‘79 black Custom. I know what I’m listening to and you need to sort your presentation. It all sounds the same.

Nicely shot, but you manage to make every guitar you demo, some EXACTLY the same. It’s pointless.

Didnt realize when you were making this video that the 2010-2016 model Strats would be some of the best ever made did you. It's funny how this cycles in guitar manufacturing. The 1993-1995 models are also amazing. Oddly enough, the Gibson 1993-1995 models are amoung the best ever built. I suppose its a lot to do with the people building them, and also the main, head chief who oversees the production. Anyway, I always enjoyed your vids. take care

So what's a "masterbuilt" Fender, other than being more expensive than a regular one? Is it built by someone who has especially GOOD skills with a screw driver? Are the screws screwed in just that much better? Are the solder joints just that much nicer? Is the torque on the neck screws a little more precise? I laugh at the very notion of a "masterbuilt" instrument that's screwed together with wood screws. What a total ripoff. What kind of a rube falls for this nonsense?
